Greetings, fridge fans from around the world!
The updated version of our crazy white box has started rolling up the charts again. It is back in the italian charts (after the christmas spell at the near top) and it seems to be just screaming up in the Taiwan App store. We're not too surprised about the warm welcome in East Asia: after all, how many games involving a fridge have two of their levels going through the street of Singapore?
Maybe the continent deserves more locations. Can anyone suggest some nice stretches of road in Taiwan for when we add more levels? Leave a comment and let us know...
The fridge is picking up speed very nicely and we better get to work on new levels before our users get bored!
In the previous post I listed the details of the locations used in the first release, now we need some help deciding on where the fridge should go: Kioto, Cairo, Southend, Tuntenhausen, or some obscure location suggested by our users? You tell us and we can put your uknown village on the fridge-map!
Tweet, email, comment but let us know, once we get a few promising ones we'll put together a poll on Facebook or something.
Update: "Fridge-map" gives me an idea. Shall we include a map on the next release or on the website maybe?
A few days running wild and our favourite appliance must have done a few thousand miles (especially when driven by our italian users that seemed to have gone crazy about th little fridge).
But where is the thing actually going? Ok, here is revealed where I took inspiration for drawing up the levels through which the fridge runs:
First and second levels were thought to go through some suburbia and ended up placing them in South West London (Ashwood way is made up but Bushy Park is near Hampton Court Palace)
Pegwell Bay is in the East Kent Coast and Sandwich Road runs fromĀ there to Ramsgate. The bay is actually a very interesting place especially if you're into birdwatching : http://bit.ly/7vWIb9
Better wait for spring though, it's probably grim and freezing cold right now!
The mountain trail: Paluzza, Cleulis and Kreuzberg
This has been the most fun to research using google maps, Paluzza and Cleulis are real villages located in the mountainous north east of Italy, near the border with Austria. Check out the pics on google maps: http://bit.ly/7ct137.
If you follow the SS52bis north and cross the border, after a few miles of mountain road, you do end up near a village called Kreuzberg.
The last two levels are located in the amazing city-state of Singapore
Where are we going from now? Well a few levels are in the works already but we would really like to ask our users were thew fridge should go next. So we are now open to suggestions for all future locations. Croatia? Sicily? Texas? Let me know!
